Annual Consultation with OECD Ambassadors and Leadership in Paris
On February 17, 2025, the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs will take part in the Annual Consultation with OECD Ambassadors and Leadership in Paris. The topic of the planned meetings is Delivering Prosperity through Economic Cooperation: What OECD Business Needs in 2025.
The Annual Consultation is a key opportunity for our leadership to discuss our strategic business priorities with OECD Ambassadors and leadership, including OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann, who will chair the meeting.
The Consultation will offer a platform to highlight the need for structural reforms for private sector-led growth, the right policy framework for innovative industries, and stronger collaboration on international economic governance.
The Annual Consultation with OECD Ambassadors will be followed by our annual General Assembly, where we will have an exchange among members on the economic outlook and strategic priorities for our engagement with the OECD.
Reference: In 2024, SUP obtained Observer organisation status at Business at OECD (BIAC). This allows SUP to engage its members in Policy groups, where companies can influence policies related to their industries. Policy groups bring together business leaders from over 55 countries and various corporate sectors on a global level. These groups jointly shape positions on policy initiatives that are considered by the OECD and governments for international and national implementation.
Business at OECD (BIAC) is an officially recognized business institution at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), uniting 29 national business organizations from OECD member countries and over 280 organizations from non-OECD countries. Since 1962, BIAC has represented business interests at the OECD, helping businesses interact with governments. The main goal of BIAC is to promote economic growth, sustainable development, and well-being through participation in global governance processes.
What does this mean for SUP members?
- Influence on global policy: Entrepreneurs can participate in key discussions within the OECD
- Access to BIAC’s global network of over 9 million companies
- Advocacy and promotion of important economic reforms that will contribute to the development of entrepreneurship in Ukraine and the integration of our economy into global markets
Business at OECD (BIAC) includes over 10 expert groups, including international industry organizations, 15+ policy groups influencing public policy at the OECD, and 45+ partner companies in the BIAC corporate program.
