As you know, the EU is implementing a number of programs to support Ukraine’s energy sector and adapt it to EU standards. In particular, in October 2024, the European Investment Bank announced the Ukraine Energy Support Plan, an initiative to expand EU assistance aimed at supporting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which has been destroyed and severely damaged as a result of the war with Russia. As part of the plan, the EIB intends to invest up to €600 million to finance emergency energy projects in the public and private sectors. The funding is provided under the EU’s Ukraine Facility, a financial support program for Ukraine, and is partially supported by the EIB’s EU for Ukraine fund and advisory program. It will contribute to the restoration and modernization of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, adapting it to European standards and accelerating the country’s integration with the EU.
