Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs Holds the SUP Members Gathering to Mark Entrepreneurs’ Day
24 September 2020

On 22 September, we made a party to bring together members of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs – SUP Members Gathering. That was for the first time in a long period that our member entrepreneurs had the chance to meet in person and enjoy the friendly peer environment for discussing new ideas and plans.

Kateryna Glazkova, SUP Executive Director, welcomed the participants and presented the union’s year-to-date performance results. To name a few achievements, 112 new members had joined SUP over this time, with one fifth of this inflow coming from Odesa, Dnipro and Lviv.

“At our informal meeting, we have a really strong concentration of Ukrainian business. This year, our membership has increased already by more than 100 businesses, and today I am happy to see new faces here and hand over new SUP Membership Certificates”, said Kateryna Glazkova.

Ms Glazkova gave insight into how the SUP’s advocating efforts have strengthened in 2020: the Analytical Centre has been created for processing business suggestions and legislative initiatives, and over the short time of its existence, the union has already gained 15 significant legislative wins. Additionally, we have launched a new action committee within SUP – HoReCa Development Committee. Kateryna Glazkova also highlighted three qualitative surveys completed by SUP – those to study impacts of the lockdown restrictions on business and expectations from the 5-7-9% lending programme, and the first nationwide survey on the Ukrainian entrepreneur profile. More than 3,000 businesses have been surveyed!

“It has been so long since we last time shook hands, talked to each other up-close and personal, that we decided to have this meeting, with all sanitary rules and regulations observed, and make sure that every one of you could feel part of the SUP community and not left to face this challenging period alone. What’s more, we all here are among our good acquaintances and old friends”, commented Viacheslav Klymov, SUP President.

At the event, the participants were also offered a tour around a new coworking hub KOOPERATIV by Andriy Fedoriv, Fedoriv Group founder and СЕО, SUP co-founder.

That evening was full of lively discourses with like-minded people, smiles, and photos taken to remember the event. We would like to thank all our members who teamed up and made this party happen!

Our special thanks also go to our partners who helped organise this event:
