Members of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) visited the private Inventor Lyceum — an educational space where learning is built around technology, engineering thinking, and the development of children’s creativity. The visit offered an opportunity to take a closer look at how modern education businesses operate and which approaches are shaping the future of Ukrainian education today.

Education as the Longest Investment

The educational business is among the most complex, as its “product” is the future of children. Education is the longest-term investment, yet simultaneously the most vital. The children sitting in classrooms today will be the ones creating companies, technologies, and the country’s economy in 10–20 years. The task of educational institutions is to provide them with the tools to achieve this.
Inventor Lyceum was established with this exact vision — a school where children don’t just acquire knowledge but learn to create the future.

Learning through the STEM System

The educational process at the lyceum is based on the STEM approach — a learning model that integrates four key areas: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This approach allows children not only to study theory but to apply knowledge in practice through experiments, research, and the creation of their own projects.
At the lyceum, students are encouraged to ask questions, explore the world, and tackle new challenges without fear. Instead of passive information absorption, children learn to think like engineers: analyzing tasks, seeking solutions, and building their own technological projects.

An Educational Ecosystem

Inventor is not just a school, but an entire educational ecosystem. Beyond the core curriculum, children participate in extracurricular activities, diverse programs, educational events, and partnership projects.
This comprehensive approach fosters not only academic knowledge but also essential “future skills”: creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving.

Challenges of the Educational Business

During the meeting, the lyceum team shared the challenges facing modern education today.
Key challenges include:

  • Scouting and developing strong educators;
  • The rapid pace of technological change;
  • Building parental trust.

The world is changing so quickly that only one thing can be predicted: children will need an engineering mindset, technological proficiency, creativity, and the ability to solve complex tasks.

Hands-on Experience for Parents and Children

During the Company Visit, participants not only learned about the lyceum’s educational model but also tested it in practice. Parents and guests had the opportunity to build their own LEGO robots and program their movements. Using a camera, the robot recognized commands and could even perform simple actions, such as dancing.
This interactive experience provided a better understanding of the school’s core philosophy: learning through practice, experimentation, and the creation of original technological solutions.

Education Shaping the Future

The visit to Inventor Lyceum offered a perspective on education as an industry that shapes the nation’s future. Today’s students are tomorrow’s engineers, entrepreneurs, inventors, and leaders who will build Ukraine’s new companies, technologies, and economy in the decades to come.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Alina Arkhipova, Oksana Stoietska, and the entire Inventor Lyceum team for their hospitality, an engaging Company Visit, and for addressing our members’ questions.
