Ukrainian businesses continue to operate, invest, and purchase equipment despite the war. At the same time, complex regulatory procedures and delays in decision-making by government authorities can create additional financial risks for businesses.

LLC “MILLIFORM” faced such a situation. The company contacted the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine regarding the extension of the deadline for settlements under a transaction involving the import of a Nissei ASB-70DPH V4 engineering blow molding machine under a contract concluded in October 2025.

The company registered its application, together with the required documents, on 14 July 2026. The application was reviewed by the Department for the Provision of Administrative Services in the Field of Foreign Economic Activity of the Ministry of Economy.

The issue was critical for the company: in case of a violation of the established deadline for settlements, the company faced a penalty of €900 for each day of delay. Over the course of a month, this could have resulted in approximately €27,000 in additional costs.

SUP Intervened — the Business Received a Positive Decision

To protect the company’s interests and prevent unjustified financial losses, SUP submitted a formal request to the Ministry of Economy.

As a result, the documents submitted by LLC “MILLIFORM” were reviewed, and a positive decision was made on the company’s application to extend the deadline for settlements.

Thus, the company was able to avoid the daily €900 penalty and continue fulfilling its foreign economic contract.

This Is What Protecting Business Interests Looks Like in Practice

For SUP, representing the interests of entrepreneurs is not limited to participating in legislative discussions or preparing policy proposals. It also means resolving specific problems faced by companies when the speed and effectiveness of interaction with government authorities directly affect real money and business stability.

The MILLIFORM case demonstrates that effective dialogue between business and the government can have a very concrete outcome — money saved, a contract fulfilled, and no additional financial burden on the company.

SUP continues to work to ensure that Ukrainian businesses have predictable rules, effective interaction with government authorities, and real mechanisms for protecting their interests.

If you encounter problems in dealing with government authorities, need assistance in entering international markets, or face legal or regulatory obstacles, SUP will help find a solution, protect your business interests, and avoid unnecessary financial and reputational losses.
