A working meeting was held between the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) and representatives of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. For us, this was not just another meeting—it was an important step toward building a systematic dialogue between the business community and the prosecution authorities.
Businesses expect not special treatment from the state, but predictability, fairness, and the opportunity to be heard. That is why open and professional dialogue is an essential condition for building trust between businesses and the law enforcement system. Only through regular communication is it possible to identify systemic issues in a timely manner, find balanced solutions, and prevent conflicts from arising.
Focus of the Meeting
During the meeting, participants discussed updated formats of cooperation and outlined a roadmap for future collaboration aimed primarily at protecting the rights of law-abiding businesses. It was agreed that such cooperation should not be merely a response to existing problems, but a permanent platform for professional discussion of the issues affecting the business community.
Particular attention was paid to specific cases brought to the Union by our members. We had the opportunity to clearly present the business community’s position, explain the practical impact of individual situations on companies, and highlight issues that require a more systematic approach. It is fundamentally important for us that each such case does not remain an isolated story of a single company, but instead becomes an opportunity to analyze the root causes of problems and identify solutions that will help prevent similar situations in the future.
Building Effective Cooperation Mechanisms
It was particularly valuable that the discussion was substantive, professional, and constructive. We saw a willingness not only to listen to the business community’s position but also to continue communication through an ongoing working format. This type of cooperation provides grounds for establishing clear mechanisms for responding to the issues faced by entrepreneurs.
The Union will continue to consistently represent the interests of its members and initiate open dialogue with public authorities whenever it contributes to protecting legitimate businesses, improving the business climate, and establishing predictable rules of interaction between the state and entrepreneurs. Our objective is not only to respond to individual cases but also to ensure that such cases become less frequent.
We thank the representatives of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine for their openness to dialogue, their willingness to discuss complex issues, and their readiness to seek practical solutions. We hope that today’s meeting will mark the beginning of systematic and productive cooperation that will deliver tangible results for Ukrainian businesses. Much work still lies ahead, but it is precisely these professional meetings that create the foundation for meaningful change.
