On February 18 the members of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs met with the chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Dmytro Synnychenko.
According to the Chairman, the Fund’s main priority in the privatization of state property is to attract a competent investor who would buy state property after years of inefficient use and would develop it as a private business.
The ban on privatization of 1400 state-owned enterprises has been lifted today. Therefore, the Fund is waiting for feedback from entrepreneurs – a request for objects that are interesting for the market launch. The members of SUP were interested in the status of realization of objects in such spheres as agriculture, real estate, utilities, education, etc. Objects of the defense industry, natural monopolies and social value companies now remain state-owned.
As a result of the meeting they agreed to collect and submit to the Fund the proposals of members of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs as well as to continue the expert discussion on specific issues with the SUP Committees. If you already have such offers now, write to us.
We are grateful to the Chairman of the Fund for productive dialogue and we hope that the chosen strategy of the SPFU development will give an impetus to increase domestic investment in the country and growth of the Ukrainian economy.
