Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) joined a press tour for journalists from South Africa, India, and the Philippines, organized by the public organization “Internews-Ukraine” with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation. The initiative is being implemented within the framework of the project “Expanding Ukraine’s Global Partnerships: Asia, Africa, Latin America.”

The purpose of the press tour is to give a voice to Ukrainian business and to demonstrate to the global community another important aspect of Ukraine – its resilience, adaptability, and the transformation of entrepreneurship in wartime conditions. After all, business remains the driving force that, despite all challenges, supports the country’s economy and shapes its future.

The guests got acquainted in detail with the activities of SUP, particularly with the Union’s advocacy work, participation in negotiations regarding Ukraine’s accession to the EU, export support, expansion of its presence abroad, and the opening of European offices in Warsaw and Brussels. They also communicated with representatives of Ukrainian companies – members of SUP, who shared real stories of adaptation, transformation, and social responsibility.

A separate block of the program was a meeting with the Nova Poshta team and a tour of its automated sorting terminal. Journalists saw how the company maintains logistics stability even during missile attacks, employs veterans, and expands its presence in Europe. The story from liberated Kherson deeply impressed them – parcels that had been hidden from the occupiers for nine months were returned to their owners with a sticker: “Hello, I am your parcel that survived 9 months of occupation, shelling, and destruction. But despite everything – I am whole and happy to be in your hands thanks to Nova Poshta.” Such stories are more than just logistics. They are about humanity, trust, and the strength of Ukrainian business.

Among the participants of the press tour were journalists from leading global media specializing in international politics, economics, security, and social justice. These included a correspondent from Al Jazeera English, an editor from the South African Die Burger, a senior editor from NDTV India, the founder of the business portal THEPHILBIZNEWS, and others.

“I am very impressed that Ukrainians, despite the war, maintain a functional country with all services. It seems some other countries cannot do this even in peacetime,” said Rebecca Davis, a journalist from South Africa.

This press tour is part of the UUE’s 2025 strategy, one of the key priorities of which is to form a true image of Ukrainian business in the world.

We are convinced: it is important to be the voice of entrepreneurs in the international arena – to debunk myths, demonstrate resilience, and the real contribution of business to the country’s economy during the war. That is why the UUE team systematically works on:

  • implementing communication projects that create a positive image of the Ukrainian entrepreneur;
  • collecting and disseminating facts and analytics about the role of business in the financial, humanitarian, and defense support of the country;
  • building international partnerships and advocating for business interests in the EU.

Being the voice of business means building trust in Ukraine as a reliable partner and believing in the strength of those who create the economy even under shelling.

We thank “Internews-Ukraine” for organizing the press tour, and Nova Poshta for an inspiring example of the strength, resilience, and humanity of business.
