The Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) has opened a representative office in Brussels — the organization’s key office in Europe. Its main purpose is to represent and defend the interests of Ukrainian business within the institutions of the European Union. This step is extremely important, as Ukraine officially holds the status of a candidate country for EU membership.

The legislative screening phase is coming to an end, and negotiations for accession will soon begin. SUP, which represents independent Ukrainian business, is actively involved in these processes and plans to further strengthen its presence.

Over the next five years, key decisions shaping Ukraine’s future will be made in Brussels. Therefore, it is crucial for the Ukrainian business community to be directly involved in the negotiations, to represent its position, and to influence the development of policies that will define the country’s economic growth.

“We are part of the large European community of BusinessEurope. We are sincerely grateful to our Polish partners — Konfederacja Lewiatan — for their support, hospitality, and the shared space where our Ukrainian team will now be working. I am thankful to every association that supports us in this endeavor,” said Kateryna Glazkova, Executive Director of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs.

The opening of SUP’s representative office in Brussels was made possible thanks to the support of our Polish partners — Konfederacja Lewiatan. The Ukrainian team is now working in a shared space alongside colleagues from Poland.

“We need Ukraine. We are happy to see the opening of SUP’s representative office in Brussels because, right now, Europe’s security, its future, economic development, and transformation are impossible without Ukraine. You must be here and participate in all the negotiations,” emphasized Maciej Witucki, President of Konfederacja Lewiatan, during the opening ceremony.

SUP is actively integrating into the European business community: since October 2023, the Union has been representing Ukraine in BusinessEurope with observer status.

BusinessEurope is the largest and most influential business association in the European Union, uniting 42 business associations from 36 countries. Membership in BusinessEurope gives SUP the opportunity to be the voice of Ukrainian entrepreneurs at the highest level of European institutions.

European integration is not just a political process — it is also a key part of Ukraine’s recovery. Business must actively participate in harmonizing Ukrainian and European legislation to ensure transparent rules, equal opportunities, and sustainable development.

From now on, the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs is the official voice of independent Ukrainian business in the heart of the European Union — and it is ready for the major and important work ahead.
