A meeting was held at the office of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) with a delegation from the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, led by Ms. Makoto Tomizawa, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine. The purpose of the meeting was to establish a dialogue and identify specific areas of cooperation aimed at supporting and developing Ukrainian business in the context of post-war recovery.
Opportunities and Areas of Cooperation
During the meeting, the main activities of UUE were presented, and potential opportunities for cooperation were discussed.
Representatives of the Embassy of Japan confirmed the high interest of the Japanese private sector in Ukraine. This interest is demonstrated by numerous visits of Japanese companies, the signing of memorandums of understanding, and a growing interest in doing business. The Embassy will also facilitate cooperation with the Kyiv office of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization).
During the meeting, specific areas for joint work were discussed:
- Implementation of ongoing projects: UUE is ready to cooperate within the framework of projects for SMEs, informing its members and facilitating their participation.
- Organization of joint events: targeted B2B meetings, business forums, and online presentations for Ukrainian and Japanese companies.
- Cooperation and networking with leading Japanese business associations to find partners and investors.
