SUP represented Ukrainian businesses at the international forum ReBuild Ukraine
The Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) represented Ukrainian businesses at the international forum ReBuild Ukraine, held on November 13-14 in Warsaw.
The event brought together over 500 companies from around the world, including participants from Norway, Finland, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the USA, Canada, and other countries.
As part of the forum, the European Commission and the Government of Ukraine organized the Ukraine-EU Investment Conference, focusing on attracting European investments for Ukraine’s recovery and modernization. SUP Executive Director Kateryna Glazkova participated in the high-level panel “Leveraging Ukraine’s EU accession for economic recovery, investment, and business environment reforms.” She emphasized that Ukrainian businesses are ready for reforms and are striving for fair and transparent “rules of the game.” Kateryna also urged international companies to invest in Ukraine, highlighting that SUP members have already invested over €600 million during the three years of full-scale war.
Kateryna underscored the importance of collaboration between large international corporations and local businesses to support Ukraine’s economy. She reaffirmed SUP’s readiness to serve as a bridge between European and Ukrainian businesses.
The ReBuild Ukraine forum also featured a workshop on opportunities for Ukrainian businesses post-EU accession, where Kateryna stressed the importance of a transitional period for adapting to European standards.
Discussions also touched upon the adaptation of insurance programs, educational initiatives for Ukrainian professionals, and the simplification of administrative procedures for Ukrainian companies. Topics included customs unification, streamlined tax requirements, standardized reporting, and the creation of a unified information platform to provide SMEs with critical resources.
Special thanks to DG Grow, DG Near, and the organizers of ReBuild Ukraine for hosting this pivotal event, which became a platform for innovation exchange and new opportunities for collaboration.
