The Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs continues to increase its presence on international platforms as part of Ukraine’s European integration process.
Recently, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) has decided to involve the Union, as a representative of civil society of the EU candidate countries, in the EESC’s advisory work. The Union, along with 15 other representatives of civil society, was elected from Ukraine
The EESC is an advisory body to the EU that ensures the representation of the interests of various economic and social groups in the dialogue with the European Commission, the Council of the EU and the European Parliament.
This is important because the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs will participate in the preparation of EESC opinions at the plenary sessions on EU enlargement. Thus, the EESC conclusions will better reflect the challenges and priorities facing Ukraine in important areas of activity.
Soon, representatives of Ukrainian civil society will begin their work in the EESC on behalf of Ukraine. The first special session of the EESC plenary is scheduled for July 2024.
This is another recognition of SUP’s expertise and an opportunity to establish cooperation to achieve a positive result for Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
