A member of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) — Production Company “Parfumerne Dolyna” LLC, a national full-cycle manufacturer of perfumes — reached out to us for assistance.
The company faced consistent adjustments of the customs value of imported packaging, despite providing a complete set of supporting documents. These actions created a risk of significant financial strain, loss of delivery profitability, and, consequently, reduced the competitiveness of the Ukrainian manufacturer.
SUP Responded Promptly
We sent an official letter to the State Customs Service of Ukraine and initiated a dialogue between the business and customs authorities.
The Result: Substantive Professional Interaction
Following our request, an online meeting was held between company representatives and specialists from the Department of Customs Payments Control and Administration of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
During the meeting, the business received clear clarifications regarding customs clearance requirements and the list of documents necessary for the correct determination of customs value.
Why This Matters
In wartime, Ukrainian business operates under conditions of heightened risk. The task of the state and the business community is to seek solutions, not create additional barriers. It is dialogue and transparent rules that allow for the preservation of manufacturing, jobs, and tax revenues.
SUP welcomes this form of cooperation with the State Customs Service of Ukraine and remains convinced: systemic communication between business and the state is the foundation of a mature economy and a strong country.
We will continue to protect the interests of Ukrainian entrepreneurs, shape the agenda, and work for results. Because a strong business means a strong Ukraine.
