The Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) held a meeting with Victor Chirilă, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine.
The discussion focused on developing Ukrainian-Moldovan economic cooperation, supporting businesses, and addressing the shared challenges faced by Ukraine and Moldova on their path to European Union membership.
A Promising Partnership with Moldova
Moldova is an important economic and logistics partner for Ukraine. Geographic proximity, a shared border, and interconnected transport and logistics infrastructure create significant potential for deepening cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. Promising areas include trade, logistics, energy, industrial and cross-border cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects.
European Integration of Ukraine and Moldova
Particular attention was paid to the European integration of Ukraine and Moldova, the exchange of experience, and the need to strengthen cooperation between businesses, government institutions, and business associations in the process of adapting to EU rules and standards. Both countries have candidate status for EU membership, while the Moldovan side identifies strengthening bilateral and European strategic partnership with Ukraine as one of its priorities.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain further dialogue and develop practical forms of cooperation between the business communities of Ukraine and Moldova.
We sincerely thank Ambassador Victor Chirilă and the team of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Ukraine for the meeting, openness to cooperation, and constructive dialogue.
