We build a dialogue between business and local authorities to be more effective in improving the business climate in the country!
On January 24 together with the entrepreneurs of Odesa region we met with the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Maksym Kutsyi. This was the first meeting for entrepreneurs of the Odesa region in the format of dialogue between business and the authorities.
“This is the first such meeting at the regional level. It is important for us this dialogue to be continued and effective”, – said the Executive Director of SUP Kateryna Glazkova.
During the meeting they discussed the problems of the region which are important to solve in order to improve business conditions and the plans of the administration of the region in these areas.
The following major problems are revealed in the survey conducted by SUP among the entrepreneurs of the region:
- Poor infrastructure (mentioned 84.2% of respondents);
- Absence of open dialogue between the authorities and business;
- Corruption.
They focused on solving this particular issue. Many of the issues and most importantly the proposals from the business concerned infrastructure development, local health reform, business security and tax distribution in the region.
“We want to become an assistant for business in communication with the state,” Maksym Kutsyi emphasized and appealed the business to be as active as possible.
As a result it was agreed that the SUP representatives would join the authorities in the process of business development, infrastructure in the region and the proposals from the business would be accumulated and processed.
