On October 19, Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs and Better Regulation Delivery Office went to the regions with a presentation of the results of the Regional Doing Business 2018 rating. They started from Vinnytsia and Chernihiv. The last in the general rating ranks 7th place (306 out of 600 points), however, it showed the greatest progress in terms of “obtaining permits for construction” and “land allocation”. The city has achieved such positive results largely due to the maximum abolition “payment for the share in municipal infrastructure”.
Olena Shuliak (the Midland Development Ukraine co-owner, SUP vice president) also voiced to the participants of the meeting and recommendations for the city from Better Regulation Delivery Office and Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs. Among the main:
- To introduce electronic permitting and approval by joining national systems of electronic services or developing a local analogue
- Ensure transparency of urban planning documentation by presenting it online
- To accelerate the process of registration of land for power lines
- Reduce to 0, 01% the amount of the share contribution to the infrastructure
- Join the Start Business Challenge.
Could not have come to the leader of the rating – Vinnytsia. The city during the year showed significant progress, rising to 8 steps and leading the rating of the most comfortable business for Ukrainian cities. During the visit, the co-chairman of SUP Business Development Committee Andrii Ierashov and Aleksii Dorogan, the Operations Director of BRDO have discussed with the mayor of the city, which has changed in the region for the better and whether it was really easier for business to do business. They also discussed a number of steps towards business that still need to be implemented in order to make the winning effect as tangible as possible.
