Restaurant business representatives have joined their efforts to create an organization that will represent and lobby interests of the hospitality industry in Ukraine. For this purpose, we have set up a new committee to operate under SUP – the HoReCa Development Committee.
The industry numbers nearly 60,000 facilities giving official employment to more than one million Ukrainians.
The committee has been created to build up effective dialogue with governmental authorities and create an enabling environment and a level playing field for all the industry players.
Today, the high priority task in the committee’s activities is to work out proposals for a responsible lockdown exit process. In the longer term, the committee will deal with improvements in tax and labour laws, regulations applicable to governmental control and inspection procedures, as well as implementation of deregulation initiatives for ensuring more ease in doing business, higher capitalization, stimulation of reinvestments, and creation of new jobs.
Among members of the SUP HoReCa Development Committee that brings together the leading restaurant owners, there are such businesses as Gusovsky Restaurants, Dmytro Borysov’s Gastrofamily, Mister Cat, L’KAFA Group, Stargorod Czech Brewery, BEEF meat & wine and WHITE wine bar, La Famiglia, Smile Food, Kumpel’ Group, Pizza Celentano, !FEST Holding of Emotions, USG Holding, and many others.
By the decision of the SUP Board of Directors, Yevgen Shevchenko, CEO of Carlsberg Ukraine, has been appointed as the committee’s chairman.
The newly created platform will become a centre of the hospitality industry expertise and speak with one consolidated voice on behalf of the industry’s businesses in communications with stakeholders.
We would like to welcome all representatives of restaurant and hotel businesses to join our committee’s ranks! To apply, please contact us at the email lesia.panasyuk@sup.org.ua.
Let’s overcome barriers together!
