As part of the Polish delegation’s visit to Ukraine, the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs facilitated several strategic meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian government, including the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
Konfederacja Lewiatan is a powerful Polish business organization representing employers’ interests in Poland and the European Union. We were pleased to welcome our European colleagues:
– Maciej Witucki — Vice President of BusinessEurope and President of the Polish business association Lewiatan, as well as a representative of BusinessEurope in the Business Advisory Council. This council is a platform that unites business leaders from various countries to help improve the investment climate in Ukraine.
– Andrzej Rudka — Advisor to the Board of Lewiatan. He was a member of the Polish delegation (employers’ group) for cooperation with the European Economic and Social Committee and previously led a department in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry.
Last year, the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs became an observer member at BusinessEurope and has been actively building relationships with all members of the European business community. Signing the memorandum with Konfederacja Lewiatan is a logical step in strengthening economic cooperation between Poland and Ukraine. The memorandum outlines the following key areas:
- Information exchange on important events that will encourage entrepreneurs to participate in Polish-Ukrainian initiatives.
- Promotion of economic cooperation through business forums and networking to strengthen relationships and find new partners between Polish and Ukrainian companies.
- Creation of a platform for the swift resolution of issues faced by entrepreneurs from both countries and finding solutions to disputed matters.
- Support for BusinessEurope and assistance in promoting reforms and representing the interests of Ukrainian business in European institutions.
Additionally, a crucial meeting took place between the delegation of Konfederacja Lewiatan and the SUP Board of Directors, where the strategic directions of future cooperation were discussed.
We believe that our collaboration will open new opportunities for entrepreneurship development and will further integrate Ukrainian business into the European economic landscape.
