On March 30, the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) paid a visit to Kropyvnytskyi. The purpose of the trip was to get acquainted with the business community in Kirovohrad region, identify the key problems of business functioning in the region, and present the activities and opportunities the Union provide to its members.
More than fifty local entrepreneurs joined the event. Kateryna Glazkova, Executive Director of the SUP, presented what the Union is and what the main achievements had accumulated in its portfolio over the two years of existence.
“Today, more than 600 companies from all over Ukraine are members of the SUP. And our task is to facilitate business conditions for their activities, to promote their development with the tools we can use,” – Kateryna said.
During the conversation with the co-founders of the SUP – Serhiy Bartoschuk, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TM KOSMO, Natalia Yeremyeyeva, co-owner of Stekloplast, Oleksandr Pochkun, Director General of Baker Tilly Ukraine, Olena Shuliak, co-owner of Midland Development Ukraine – local entrepreneurs paid more attention to problematic issues which they face in doing business. Advices from experienced managers have become one more benefit of the meeting.
Among the main problems in the region, the Kirovohrad business community names the intervention by the law enforcement agencies. The Union is familiar with such a problem – some of the members took that hit, and the SUP was actively working on its solution. So, we talked about past similar cases and explained how to act and in what issues in such situations the SUP can help.
The region has its own independent association of companies, which was organized to protect the rights of entrepreneurs. So, we concluded that in order to jointly create a system of work on problematic issues, we shall first unite.
“If you want to lobby not only local interests, but also help other entrepreneurs in Ukraine, we are only glad to welcome it,” – Serhiy Bartoschuk said.
There exist already four official representative offices of the SUP in Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipro, and perhaps Kropyvnytskyi will join this list in the near future, given the activity and interest of the business audience during the visit of the Union to the region.
